What's there in a name

Whats in a name, they say,
but name is all that is left behind
n with it,fond memories stay.

Names are little labels that
we paste upon a sea.
n wat goes on a memorial
is just a name, we see.

But is a label, all it means?
or it speaks a lot more than it seems.
for you are the moon, the stars, the earth
The universe and more,
for all those you have left ashore.

Name- what more cud u want
that makes you live across eternities.
You may be kavita
you may be poem
but you are much more than the word that
describes.

Name loves you ,name inspires.
but name is made by you, not you by name.
So love thy name,
cause a name is forever yours.


PS: This is a poem written by a friend, when i said that my name is boring and so common. Now I know why its not :)
